We’ve partnered with Mission Australia’s South West Youth Services (SWYS) to support young people in the community who have recently left the Juvenile Justice system.
SWYS helps these at-risk young people overcome barriers, realise their full potential, and ultimately, transform their lives. It’s important, valuable work – and something we’re really proud to be a part of.
How we're helping
NRMA Insurance supports two SWYS programs:
• Post Release Support Program (PRSP)
• Employment Skilling Program (ESP)
These programs offer life skills, education, training support and employment skills to at-risk youth – helping them integrate back into their communities and build a better future.
The programs have proven to be an effective way to reduce the rate of re-offending among young people released from Juvenile Justice. In fact, last year 74% of the young people on these two programs continued to further their education or gained meaningful employment.
